Charles Bibbs' art and what it can teach us about websites and success.

Have you ever heard of Charles Bibbs? I hadn’t either but am so glad to have found this inspirational artist some years ago. As a lifelong lover of music and art, I began to research Jazz Festival prints after seeing one called “The Deuce”, which commemorates the 2004 2nd Street Festival held in Richmond, Virginia. In really large font at the bottom of the print, it reads “CHARLES BIBBS.” I thought, “Charles Bibbs? Who is Charles Bibbs?” A quick Google search led me to Bibbs’ website and Facebook page where I was opened to the world of his artwork. His simple, easy to navigate webpages led me to his various sweet pieces of art titled “The Bagman Fiddler” and “Smooth Jazz.” Unique and one-of-a-kind prints that are larger than life in use of both colors and graphics. It was eye candy for someone like me. You can hear the music come through his distinctive style. That’s Bibbs’ brand and it showed through his online presence. His website clearly reflects his brand, not only what he does but who he is, and doesn’t portray rambling sales pitches of your typical art galleries. I was drawn in as an artist and a customer, especially to his page completely dedicated to music where I found Jazz Festival commemorative prints from all around California! Exactly what I was looking for! Bibbs was smart to connect his website to his Facebook page. Through my online journey of both his website and Facebook page, I was opened to not only Bibbs art but also his character. He has given so much to his craft through philanthropy, mentoring, and teaching in his community. He found the secret to success and is making the world a better place through that success. Looking through his webpages again now, I’m inspired to create that experience for the success of you, my customer. A quality website, connected to your social media that reflects your brand and your story.

“My most important goal is to make profound aesthetic statements that are ethnically rooted, and at the same time, arouse spiritual emotions within all of us.” -Charles A. Bibbs
